Building custom cabinets, furniture and woodwork has been a passion of mine since childhood. Growing up with no more tools in the house than a hammer and screwdriver was tough – I couldn’t wait to learn how to build things. My break came as I entered high school at Grosse Pointe South. They had a real wood shop and Buddy Reams was a fantastic teacher who saw my desire to learn and achieve and spent three years pouring knowledge and “hands on” experience into me.

I sold my first piece of furniture at age 15. Throughout high school the orders kept coming in. I loved what I did! After graduating, I attended Western Michigan University where I was able to hone my cabinet making and furniture skills and also pick up experience in residential building, design, and wood finishing.

Through the years I’ve met and worked for a lot of wonderful people. 90% of my work has been in the Grosse Pointes. From average size bungalows to some of Grosse Pointes finest mansions, I have been blessed to have my work on display for people to use and enjoy.

For forty years I have done complete custom kitchens, bathrooms, libraries, stairs, miscellaneous furniture, dining room tables, chairs, fireplace surroundings and so on. If it’s wood, I can do it. And I have the same passion and enjoyment building now as I did when I was 15!
